Three different sites. Very interesting much better then expected.
Nice place for a family outing
Super
Very nice facility and in contrast to others, even the dog is allowed into the exhibition. There are also various drinking places for animals.
Worth seeing and in a quiet location. Clear recommendation
The lemonade pavilion is highly recommended for those with a small appetite.
Free parking directly on site and on the outskirts! So visit quickly, the museum closes at the end of October...
Lovingly designed place, here you can take a little journey through time, the houses are freely accessible, good explanations everywhere, we took an interesting tour. For the smaller children there are play equipment and a craft room. There is a lemonade pavilion on site, so food and drinks are well catered for.
Delicious waffles and soups on offer.
Show demonstrations take place from time to time, please inform in advance. The blacksmith was there with us. There are donkeys and chickens on site. The museum is divided into two areas. The largest part is outside Hohenfelden, the smaller part is right in town with a school etc...
There is also an events calendar on the homepage.
It's a nice trip into the past, and it's almost hands-on. With a lot of work and love, entire houses were dismantled and rebuilt here. Of course, the individual rooms and workshops are also furnished. You definitely have to see it.
Physical well-being is also taken care of.
Of course there is an entrance fee, but that's a good thing.
A great experience. The Hohenfelden open-air museum depicts rural life in the region 200 years ago in great detail at two different locations. The visual experience is always accompanied by helpful audio stations (the performance of the Voigtland dialect is particularly great here). Not only is the architecture inspiring, the diverse exhibition of tools from the time also provides a vivid impression for visitors. And so that the educational aspect is not neglected, little guests are given an exciting puzzle to take along.
